Mitsubishi i MiEV Chargers

Fast
Standard portable charging cable (120V)
Requires 15-Amp (minimum) dedicated outlet

The Mitsubishi i includes a convenient, portable charging cable that plugs into a standard 120V household outlet (the very same outlet you would use for a toaster, television, lamp, etc.). From empty, the 120V charging method gives you a nice, full battery in about 22.5 hours.

Prior to charging your Mitsubishi i on a standard household 120V outlet, it's important to make sure that outlet is rated for at least 15 amperes. Our home inspectors can easily check that for you, or you can consult a certified electrician. Remember, you should consider a home electrical inspection as standard procedure before you purchase any electric car. Be safe out there.

Faster
Optional home charging dock (240V, EVSE)
Requires purchase and installation

This is our recommendation for fast and convenient home charging. Developed by Eaton, a global leader in electrical components, the 240V wall-mounted quick-charger gives you a full charge in just six hours. Essentially, the 240V charger is your own personal "fueling" station.

Better yet, the federal government is offering tax credits up to $1,000 * for those who purchase the 240V home charging dock. That's in addition to the $7,500 * tax credit for buying the Mitsubishi i. And then there's all that money you won't be spending on gas. The good news just keeps piling up around here.

Fastest
Public quick-charge port
Requires SE trim with Premium Package

Your Mitsubishi i can be equipped with an optional public quick-charger port on the driver's side of the car. This port accepts the ultra-efficient public chargers (CHAdeMO protocol - Level 3) that deliver an 80% charge in as little as 30 minutes.
